Enclosures & Fuel Tanks
ConVault
Above Ground Fuel Storage
Interest in the preservation of our environment has prompted all
levels of many governments to issue strict guidelines for the
installation, operation and removal of underground storage tanks
(UST’s). As a result, owners and operators are faced with tedious
and complicated rules and paperwork. They may also be faced with
expensive upgrades, purchase of monitoring equipment, testing, and
obtaining pollution liability insurance to comply with these
requirements. In the event of a leak, the actual costs for soil and
groundwater clean-up can be catastrophic. As aboveground storage
tanks (AST’s) replace UST’s on a more regular basis, strict
guidelines are being issued for AST’s as well. ConVault’s
innovative Protected AST’s are the proven solution for these
problems. |

Highland Tank
Act-100-U Underground Steel Tanks
ACT-100-U® The ACT-100-U® tank is as rugged as the STI-P3®
tank (industry standard) but does not require monitoring or cathodic
protection with anodes. Performance tests prove the ACT-100-U®
coating to be resistant to incidental damage. This impact resistance
makes the Highland ACT-100-U® tank unlikely to suffer damage during
transport or installation – and that means fewer problems for you
in both the short and long term.
The ACT-100-U® coating is a unique multi-component polyurethane
with high cross-link density. The ACT-100-U® coating meets or
surpasses all performance testing required by Underwriters
Laboratories including impact resistance, adhesion, exposure to heat
and cold, abrasion resistance and overall corrosion resistance.
Highland’s ACT-100-U® coating requires absolutely no artificial
reinforcement.

Sub Base Fuel Systems
MTU Onsite Energy’s sub-base fuel tanks are manufactured and
listed per UL142 standards for steel above ground tanks. UL142
assures that our tanks meet the structural and mechanical integrity
requirements for mounting engine/generator sets directly on top,
providing our customers with a safe and efficient fuel storage
system. These tanks are intended for aboveground storage of
non-corrosive, stable flammable and combustible liquids that have a
specific gravity not exceeding that of water and are in accordance
with the Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code, NFPA 30; the
Standard for Installation of Oil Burning Equipment, NFPA 31; and the
Automotive and Marine Service Station Code, NFPA 30A. |
