I'm the owner of a 2023 Grand Banks Eastbay 44'. On our trip from Marco Island, Florida to New England, we encountered several mechanical issues. Grand Banks referred me to Western Branch Diesel in Beaufort, NC. Christina has been my main point of contact and, I have to say, without her support I would never have made it through not one, but two major sequential mechanical issues. She has been professional, very responsive to my many calls, texts, and emails, and has been encouraging and comforting through the many challenges I faced during the process. In all my years of running boats, I’ve never had engine service like the service I received from Daren and the team out of Beaufort three days before the Big Rock tournament. If not for these guys, we wouldn't have been able to compete. I’ve had engine service all over the world, but they went above and beyond the rest to get us back to fishing. I had the unfortunate incident of running into a log while taking my boat from Connecticut to Florida. I hit the log in the Neuse River driving a 45 Formula Express Cruiser with Volvo Penta IPS drives. The boat was still drivable, but had a vibration that needed attention. We looked for repair facilities on the way and Jarret Bay Boatworks registered along with Western Branch Diesel, an authorized Volvo Penta dealer. I was fortunate that Jarrett Bay Boatworks allowed me to stay at their gas dock that evening. They were able to lift the boat in the morning and the service staff from Western Branch Diesel went out of their way to look at the boat immediately. From the initial contact with Christina, Alan, and Bruce, I knew that I made the correct decision. They were extremely professional and efficient. They were able to replace my shaft and propellers that morning and had me back in the water by 1:00 p.m. I hope everyone traveling the journey to Florida has an uneventful trip.
