Western Branch Diesel’s Canton, Ohio location has been rebuilding large-bore, industrial/off-highway engines and transmissions for more than 30 years. Their work includes engines and transmissions for off-highway vehicles such as those used in the oil and gas, marine, and industrial segments.
The Canton location typically handles multiple large-bore engine rebuild projects and multiple transmission rebuilds at any given time. With 25 technicians across Ohio and West Virginia alone, rebuilding off-highway equipment is accessible and convenient.
“Our fully trained technicians are experienced at rebuilding engines and transmissions,” says Mike McElwain, Regional Off-Highway Service Manager for Western Branch Diesel, a member of Indel Power Group. “We can service any mtu, Volvo Penta, and Allison Transmission product.”
While rebuilds are their specialty in Canton, the staff at other Indel locations are also trained to rebuild large-bore engines to serve customers regardless of where they are located across the Indel territory.
“A convenient offering for our customers is to set up a rebuild with the field service division,” says McElwain. “For locations in Ohio and West Virginia, the Canton technicians can come directly to you. If your company is in a different state, one of our other locations may be able to send qualified technicians your way.”
Technicians are currently working on several 12V-4000 mtu engine rebuilds for haul trucks in the mining industry, mtu engines for the transit industry, and several marine engines. These projects allow our technicians to continue to gain knowledge and experience to help customers with any engine or transmission rebuild project.
